Daily problem handling of TLL coal washing centrifuge:

In order to ensure that customers can operate the centrifuge safely, efficiently, stably, and normally during use, the centrifuge operator must first ensure correct use, careful maintenance, timely inspection, and timely handling of any problems found. Based on years of practice and experience in the production site, the prominent problems and treatment methods of centrifuges during use are summarized as follows, for reference only in the coal preparation industry.

1. Wear and tear causes excessive clearance between the scraper and the sieve basket
The sieve basket and scraper rotor are both high-speed operating components, and there is a 7r/min speed difference between them, so the wear is relatively severe. The centrifuge driver should regularly check the gap between the scraper and the sieve basket to keep it within the range of (2 ± 1) mm. When the gap is too large, it can be adjusted by the gasket on the vertical shaft flange. The thickness of the gasket is 1mm. Whenever a gasket is removed from the top to the bottom, the discharge rotor rises, reducing the gap between the scraper and the sieve basket by 0.36mm. The number of removed gaskets can be adjusted by maintenance personnel according to the size of the gap. When all the upper gaskets are removed and moved to the lower part, and the gap still exceeds the specified requirements, it indicates that the scraper and sieve basket are extremely worn and cannot be used anymore. A new scraper, integral scraper rotor, or sieve basket should be replaced.

2. The sieve basket was smashed
This problem is quite common, mainly due to the entry of iron parts or large debris into the centrifuge. Therefore, many units have installed a straight bar grate welded with flat steel at the feeding port to prevent large debris and iron parts from entering the sieve basket, and to carry out regular cleaning. The gap between the grates can generally be 2.5 to 3 times the particle size. This can greatly reduce the occurrence of accidents that damage the sieve basket.
3. The bell shaped cover, outlet ring, and outlet protective ring are worn
When the bell jar is severely worn, the material on the screen wall will be pushed into the outlet ring plane under the action of centrifugal force, causing the gap between the lower part of the screen basket and the outlet ring plane to be blocked by coal particles, forcing the equipment to not rotate or vibrate excessively. At this point, the outer cover of the sieve basket can be removed first to remove the blocked material for temporary treatment, but the best solution is to replace the bell shaped cover on site and replace the worn outlet ring and other components at the same time.
